Just want to inform fellow Gumtree users of a potential scam when buying tickets

If you are looking for tickets for any gig/concert, and receive a phone call from someone called Ben Bowman - please DO NOT buy any tickets from this person.

If you want any further details on this person (phone number, bank account details,etc) please send me an email, to confirm any contact that you may have with this person, and they are indeed the same one as I have had.

I would like to hear of any other potential Gumtree users that may have had contact with this person...the police are certainly interested.

He recently contacted me about selling PINK tickets after I placed an ad on Gumtree. As he claimed that he was "in Berwick" and I am in Dundee, I agreed (reluctantly) to send money to him for the tickets by using a bank transaction called "Fast Transfer"(at his request). Since receiving my money..this guy had failed to send the tickets....does not return any of my calls to his mobile...and when I do get through, he hangs up immediately.

This post is to warn of a potential scam...I am almost certain I have been duped into parting with my money for non-existant tickets.

Guntree recommends that all transactions are face to face - I now agree - ONLY buy goods/tickets/etc from someone in this manner FACE TO FACE.

Ben Bowan - If you read this, and you do have a concience...just think about the pain & hurt you have caused my 14 year old daughter to experience..and do the decent thing and transfer my money back so that I can buy PINK tickets for my daughter elsewhere.

The police have been contacted and are currently inverstigating this situation.
