I lived in "3L, 13 - Panmure Street, Dundee, DD1 2BG" with four other students. I left the flat in the beginning of January this year. The landlord promised to remit the security deposit back into my account but thereafter he ignored my calls/messages. On occasions I managed to get him on the phone by calling his landline number or by calling from some other number, and he gave some excuses and promised to remit soon.
But I am still waiting, over three and a half months down the line.

Reaching my limits, I sent him a message today, that I would complain to the "City Council" and also report to the Police, at risk of his HMO License and reputation, and warning of further legal action to recover deposit, compensation and costs if he does not refund within give time.

In trying to see good in people till the last minute, I took a long time to take this action. May be some of these people take decency as a weakness...sad.

In being warm and jovial, I did my small bit in keeping the flat tidy, paying utility bills, taking care of things to avoid troubling the landlord. The landlord, seemed happy absolutely nice, even came to visit with his children, said he appreciated everything... almost thick pals :) ... but this is how it ended. The Landlord's name is "Amer Naveed".

Of course, Dundee is a wonderful place, a rustic small city I would say... and people as above, who seem to come here, without any values, don’t affect this opinion.
