I am a competent 4th year History student at Dundee University, although until recently I also studied English Literature. I am very interested in becoming a tutor in either - or both - History or English at Standard Grade or Higher Level.

When my younger sister was studying for her Standard Grades last year, I informally tutored she and two of her friends, all of whom received Credit grades in their marks. I found this thoroughly rewarding and would like to become a private tutor to students who need help, particularly in the area of essay writing or exam preparation. I am also more than willing to help study particular subjects or books.

I am happy to either teach in my or the tutee's home, or even an environment such as a cafe if that is more preferable.

I consider myself to be friendly, approachable and patient, and although I don't think I would take a bossy attitude towards a student, I would be motivating in my methods to try and help him/her enjoy the subject.

I aim to be charging around £10 per hour for Standard Grade students, £12 per hour for Intermediate students, and £15 per hour for Higher students. This is subject to negotiation.
