This Friday In The Ferry

It’s not just a year for women to get down on one knee and propose... it’s also a day for appreciating that every moment counts! That’s the message from Cancer Research UK which has decided that the 29th of February is a chance to celebrate the fact that in a leap year we gain an extra day – and highlights the fact that some cancer sufferer’s are unable to have that one more day to enjoy life.
To get everyone in the spirit of enjoying their extra day this month, The Post Office Bar, based on Queen’s Street, Broughty Ferry, is going to be handing out as a gift 300 (yes, that’s right 300!) fresh flowers to passers-by to put a spring in their step, and make people smile. The message is to ‘Make Your Day Count’ and this is exactly what Cancer Research UK is using as their slogan.
Do you want to Make Your Day Count? Then why not volunteer to help the bar staff of The Post Office Bar and take part in distributing the flowers to strangers on the streets of The Ferry. If you think you could spare a few hours to make someone very happy and perhaps make some new friends along the way then get in contact with Louise at The Post Office Bar. Do something to make someone feel good this Friday the 29th, on your extra day, to show recognition for those cancer sufferer’s who may not have another day.
Every Morning at The Post Office Bar is officially Coffee Morning! So why don’t you come along and have a cuppa and in the process raise money for Cancer Research UK? All proceeds this Friday the 29th from The Post Office Bar are going to the Cancer Research UK charity which has fully approved all the fundraising efforts being made by the Broughty Ferry bar. Even if you’re not a coffee drinker there will be plenty to tempt the taste-buds, from tea and toast to fresh fruit scones and fresh orange juice. You’ll be free to indulge, safe in the knowledge that it’s all for charity!
