Based in Fife our client seeks a qualified accountant to join them as Finance Manager. This job is a 12-month contract that may offer longer term opportunities. Applicants interested in shorter term contracts may also be considered.

You must be a member of a CCAB accountancy body to apply. In addition to the professional qualification you must have substantial experience in a senior financial role.  

You must be able to demonstrate previous experience working within a financial management role and within the following areas:

- Preparation of significant budgets with a range of cost drivers, budgetary monitoring and control, identifying and resolving problems, demonstrate.

- Development of strategies, plans and appropriate course of action to put plans into practice through team resources.

- Initiating, controlling, implementing and evaluating projects and activities within portfolio and ad hoc project work e.g. ledger system, activity based costing.

- Experience of a wide range of funding and costing processes and procedures and the ability to negotiate appropriately between departments/divisions and finding bodies.

- Preparation of correspondence, reports and statistical information to inform and influence strategic decision making processes.

Skills and Abilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Significant knowledge of information technology and its application to business processes

- Ability to use own initiative to develop strategies and plans

- Ability to conduct researching information, preparing statistical information and other reports
