The Midlands hockey season starts again this month and both the men's and women's teams are still looking to improve their squad. New players are always welcome to training, standard irrelevant!

Men:
1st Team - Midlands District Division 1
Captain - David Duncanson
2nd Team - Midlands District Division 2
Captain - Alistair Cain

The club plays home matches on the astroturf pitch at the University of St Andrews sports ground. In recent seasons, the men's have been relatively successful; having won Division 1 and finishing as runners-up on more than one occasion.

This season, the 1st XI will play in the District Cup and the 2nd X1 in the Reserve Cup.

Training takes place at the University Sports Centre (St Andrews) from 18:30 to 20:00 each Thursday from early August until April, with a short break at Christmas.

"Madras College FP Ladies Hockey Club is a St Andrews sports club which attracts members of all ages and backgrounds from the St Andrews and Tayside area. The club plays in five annual competitions which include the Bell Trophy, Midlands League Division 1, Midlands League Cup, Midlands Knock-Out cup and SHU District Cup. Four of the five competitions are played against fellow Midlands teams from Stirling in the West to Brechin in the North. The SHU District Cup is a national competition."

"The club has enjoyed a variety of successes in the last few years, being Midlands league champions in 2002 and 2003 and runners up in 2005, and winning the Midlands Knock-Out cup in 2002."
